Hi everyone Smile ,

Guess its time I 'said' something, I have been a VERY silent member here since the summer of 2008.
Time to stop wishing you guys would submit a bit more reading material for me and make some kind of a contribution myself !!

Its cold here in the south of Holland.
Outside my window is a beautiful winter landscape.
The snow has been redecorating again since yesterday morning, it finally stopped falling about 30 minutes ago and its just minus 10 C for those who feel the urge to go outside. (My dog would be happy to join you)

As charming as it is out there, I am thinking about sunshine and holidays.
So its been a pleasure white stuff, however your time is up, so please melt and dont come back until next year!!

Had a peek at the website of the new destination in Tuscany, it looks beautiful.
I imagine thats a nice warm spot.

Now I am in a quandary...One World UK again or Italy. Confused
Dont think I can permit myself both festivals unfortunately.

How about La Chiara di Prumiano, smaller, more intimate group, a selection of cool workshops...all in sunny Italy centred around fabulous old building with lots of unexplored (certainly for me) territory and opportunity to do some touring around Tuscany on the way there ?

There again, Great Malvern, in the UK, it will be a big lively group of people, many lovely familiar faces, an incredibly varied programme and tons of activities...and lets not knock the English weather, we had a totally bazin' week camping out in in pretty little Monkton Combe.

It just started snowing again Wink
..or Italy then ??

Hi Jayne

Well done! Nice you made the effort. I run a couple of other forums and participate in many others and the phenomenon you describe is common. Most members waiting for someone else to say something and then returning less and less frequently because nothing new appears, vicious circle. One of the forums I run has over 400 members but the vast majority of posts come from around 20 people, and even with so many members, it's often only just ticking over slowly.

It's been a proper cold winter here in Switzerland too, still very cold with plenty of snow even low down, very pretty of course but I've slowly had enough too, even as a snowboarder. Would be nice if if the cold white stuff would keep to the mountains Wink

Yeah, I thought about Italy too of course. For me, the choice was only whether to do Italy as well as Monkton Combe - there's far too many people going to the English event that are really good friends, many of whom I only see once a year. I'm currently tending to a fairly definite no on Italy, assuming my financial and holiday situations stay how they are now.

I'm wondering what to do at One World this year. I had a year off giving my workshops last year and just helped out Colin a bit with the didgeridoo workshops, and now that the invitation has come I'm scratching my head again - there's a secret plan for a chill-out tent for the evenings which was hatched by Colin, though that's still not very concrete - we missed having somewhere other than the cafe to hang out as the Irie-Stylie bar tent disappeared so we might just step into the breach…. not sure if Colin's broached the subject with Joao yet...
